Send and sign engagement letters
Draft a letter, send it for signature by link and keep the signed evidence.
- Make sure your firm's legal name and licence are set in Settings, under Workspace. They appear on every letter.
- Open Engagement letters and draft a letter for the client.
- Check the wording and fee.
- Send it for signature. The client receives a one-time link and needs no account.
- The client reads the letter, types their name and signs.
Comply keeps the exact wording that was signed, the typed name, the time and the address it was signed from. A signed letter cannot be reworded or re-dated. You can print any letter.
Changing a letter
Only drafts can be edited. Once a letter has been sent, draft a new one if the terms change. The signer cannot alter the letter or the fee, and the link stops working once used.
Arabic letters
When the client's language is set to Arabic, the letter body is drafted in Arabic.
Tip: Fees and letter wording are hidden from people below manager level.
