Find your way around: Home, menu and search

How the icon rail, page panel, top bar and Home page work on desktop and phone.

The menu

A dark icon rail runs down the left side, with one button per area: Home, Items, Sales, Purchases, Banking, Payroll, Tax, Accountant, Reports and Documents, with Settings at the bottom. Choosing an area opens a panel beside the rail that lists its pages in sections. Pages that need a higher plan show a plan badge.

The top bar

The top bar shows where you are (area and page) and a search box called Jump to anything. Press Ctrl K to open it from anywhere. On the right are the language switch, the free-trial badge while you are on trial, Account and Sign out.

Home

• Quick actions: New invoice, Record expense and Reconcile.
• Tiles for cash and bank, money to receive, money to pay, and VAT payable once your company has a TRN and an open VAT period.
• A six-month money in and out chart.
• A Needs attention list: overdue invoices, drafts waiting for approval, bank lines to match, documents to enter and the next tax return due.
